71st All India Cooperative Week celebration held in Phek

The celebration of the 71st All India Cooperative Week was held today at SIRD Hall, Phek under the theme “Role of Cooperatives in Building Viksit Bharat.”

Addressing the celebration as the special guest, Phek deputy commissioner John Tsulise Sangtam, encouraged the members of cooperative societies to maintain unity amongst the members. He said that time management is necessary in the process of organizing and planning for various activities to increase efficiency and productivity. As part of strengthening the Primary Agricultural Credit Society (PACS), DC Phek also handed over computer sets to 16 selected cooperative societies.

Jacob Khing, SRCS Phek informed the gathering that Cooperative Societies provides a special platform to explore new avenues of growth by fostering entrepreneurship and promoting inclusive development and also creating sustainable livelihood.

Nezelu Nyekha of Chakhesang Women Welfare MPCS Ltd. Pfutsero shared the success story of Cooperative Societies. Kuiyipu Sharu, ISC Phek chaired the programme while vote of thanks was proposed by Zewe Ritse, ICS Pfutsero.
