Zunheboto, November 21 (MExN): The Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Zunheboto observed the 71st All India Cooperative Week 2024 with the theme ‘Role of cooperatives in building Viksit Bharat’ at VDB Hall, Zunheboto on November 20.
The event was graced by Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali (IAS) as guest of honour, stated a DIPR report.
While delivering the keynote address, ARCS, Zunheboto, Kenilo Khing, highlighted the aims and objectives of Primary Agriculture Credit Societies (PACS) and deliberated on enhancement of efficiency of PACS, computerization, and later gave away computer hardware to 22 PACS during the celebration.
The objectives of the project was for implementation of Common Accounting Systems (CAS) and Information Management Systems (MIS) enabling PACS to carry out their operations online and obtain financial, loans for their various activities from NABARD through NStCBs, increasing the efficiency of the operation of PACS, etc. It also apprised on the significant contributions of cooperatives to the socio economic development of the State.
The programme was attended by Agri & Allied departments, NStCB, and representatives from various PACS cooperative societies.
