Ludhiana, December 3 (MExN): Nagaland men's and women’s teams are participating in the 73rd Senior National Basketball Championship which began today Guru Nanak Indoor Stadium, Ludhiana, Punjab.
Hosted by the Punjab Basketball Association under the patronage of the Basketball Federation of India, the championship features 34 men's teams and 30 women's teams, showcasing top-tier basketball talent from across the nation.
In Group D, the Nagaland men's team faces competition from Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh.
The Nagaland women's team clubbed with Arunachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, and Gujarat in Group D.
In their first matches on Sunday, the women's team lost to Andhra Pradesh 17-25, while the men's team faced a challenging encounter and succumbed with a scoreline of 46-79 against Uttar Pradesh.
