77th CSU General Conference at Losami

The Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) is all set to hold its 77th General Conference at Losami from January 31 to February 2 under the theme “Breaking Barriers, Shaping the Future.”

The conference will be hosted by Losami Students’ Union (LSU) in coinciding with its 62nd general conference. Nagaland’s Power & Parliamentary Affairs Minister K.G. Kenye will be the inaugural guest on February 1.

MLA Dr. Neisatuo Mero will be introductory guest on January 31.

MLA Kiizholiizo (Azo) Nienu, leader NPF Legislature Party will be the cultural guest on February 1 while  Nagaland’s CAWD & Taxes Advisor Kiidecho Khamo will be valedictory guest on February 2.

Nagaland’s New & Renewable Energy & NSDMA advisor Z. Nyusietho Nyuthe will be the special guest for the 62nd General Conference of LSU on February 2.

Central Organizing Committee (COC) convenor Ciisayi Lohe informed that Kuko Mero, Deputy Commissioner Phek will be the felicitation guest while theme speaker will be Dr. Medongoi Rhakho, Deputy Director, Higher Education, Govt of Nagaland, on February 1.

The conference will witness greetings, exhortation and solitary messages from Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF) president Kevesa Khamo, Pochury Students’ Union (PSU) president Rongley Leyri, Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) president Veziihii Keyho, North East Students’ Organization (NESO) secretary general Mutsikhoyo Yhobu, Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) president Medovi Rhi, Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) president Lirhonthung Kithan, ANSAM president  Luikang Luckson and Angami Students’ Union (ASU) president Khriesamhalie David Mere.

The three day-long conference will also be marked by Union Assembly, folk dance & folk song competition, felicitation, release of magazine, discourse on conference theme, introduction of new office bearers etc.

All the delegates have been asked to reach the conference venue on January 31 by 12:00 noon. 

Late Niesatsii Khamo and Late Zekope Krome Memorial Trophies shall be awarded to the winners of folk song (Quartet) and folk dance competition during the cultural session.   

Late Goyiepra Kenye Meritorious Award shall be accorded to the HSLC and HSSLC toppers.

On behalf of the COC and CSU, Lohe solicited the kind presence of all the frontal organizations, senior leaders and well wishers to the conference.

Presently, the CSU is headed by Avezo Kevin Kapu as the president.

Losami lies approximately 14 kms away from District HQ Phek and 93 kms from the state capital Kohima.
