78 Bn CRPF inaugurated a newly constructed toilet block for girl students at Government Higher Secondary School in Sechu Zubza, Kohima on December 16.
Kohima, December 16 (MExN): A newly constructed toilet block for girl students was inaugurated at the Government Higher Secondary School in Sechu Zubza, Kohima on December 16, under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) of the 78th Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
The facility, built with running water and a septic tank, was formally handed over to the school principal by the Commandant of 78 Battalion, CRPF, a press release said.
The initiative aims to bridge the gap between the security forces and the local community by addressing essential infrastructure needs. It focused on enhancing sanitation and hygiene for students, particularly addressing a critical requirement for the girl students at the school, it added.
School Principal, Kedizelhou Rutsa, conveyed his gratitude to the 78th Battalion for constructing the “much-needed” facility, terming it a “good gesture.”
The CRPF said the project reiterates its commitment to contributing to local development and maintaining strong bonds with communities in its areas of deployment. Under the CAP scheme, the 78th Battalion has previously provided various need-based assistance to nearby villages.
