Dimapur, Janaury 4 (MExN): 78 Battalion CRPF, Zubza, Kohima in collaboration with Sechü Zubza Football Club will be organizing block level football men’s tournament (Junior group) and block level volleyball men’s tournament (senior group) on January 17 and 18.
A press release from the 78 Bn CRPF informed that Sarbjit Singh, DIGP (OPS) CRPF Kohima will be the chief guest and inaugurate the tournament at WAPO Ground, Sechü Zubza on January 17.
The closing ceremony will be held the next day which will be followed by the distribution of sports item to the participating teams, the winners and the runners up teams.
Cash rewards will be given to individual awards winners, the release said.
Since its induction in Nagaland, the 78 Bn CRPF has been conducting such events as a part of its civic actions programmes and other schemes, it added.
The Battalion Commandant, as per the release, while expressing his immense pleasure in organizing the event also invited interested personnel of Sechü Zubza block to grace the tournament.
