Medziphema, April 1 (MExN): In the ongoing 7th Frolic Cup 2022, held at Medziphema, the first semi-final was played between The Amigo's FC and the Paohao FC.
In the first half, The PMFC took the lead in the 17 minute through Ngulgoulal. The match proceeded with no further success from the PMFC despite repeated attack. The second half saw the resurgence of the Amigo's FC who settled down in the midfield control. The result can be seen when the PMFC defence were finally broken and the Amigo's FC sealed the match.
The scorers were Akhobu, Asito and Nyithong (82, 85 and 88 minutes). Kakai, Sinlo and Hengoulen of Amigo's FC and Haohen of PMFC were caution for foul play. The final score was Amigo's FC-3 and Paohao Memorial FC-1.
Meanwhile, Kuki Youth Club Medziphema registered their place in finals after defeating the Tribals United. The game witnesses a strong midfield action of the KYCM throughout the match. Despite the many missed chances on both side, KYCM registered 6 goals against the Tribals 0.
Ebenthung (8 minutes) Khakhevi (32 minutes) Thanglenhao (61 and 45 minutes) Lamginmang (80 and 87 minutes) scored for the KYCM. Sengougin of KYCM was cautioned for foul play. The final score was KYCM -6 : Tribals United- 0.
