Dimapur, August 9 (MExN): Nagaland recorded eight new COVID-19 cases and recoveries each on Tuesday while one more fatality in Dimapur district pushed the death toll to 768. In the last 24 hours, 123 samples were tested returning a daily positivity rate of 6.50, according to data on the state Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme’s daily health bulletin.
The new cases were reported in Mon (4), Dimapur (2), Kohima (1), and Longleng (1) districts. The eight patients who recovered from the disease were from Wokha (4), Kohima (2), Dimapur (1), and Longleng (1).
With this, the cumulative tally of infections rose to 35,846, out of which 53 are active cases. So far, 33,514 recoveries have been reported in the state.
