MOKOKCHUNG, DECEMBER 13 (MExN): The 15th ‘80 years and above (80 plus) Mission Project’ was held at Khar village, Mokokchung on December 12. The yearly event has been held beginning 2006 when Rev Yanger Walling initiated the programme.
With contributions made by well-wishers and likeminded friends and families, the Octogenarians gathered to have a prayer fellowship followed by refreshment. A medical camp was also organised for the needy. They are also presented food stuff, daily needs and cash.
It is a tradition of the club to give blankets as a welcome package to all those who join the Octogenarian Club as a new member.
At present, there are 76 Octogenarian in the village, out of which 41 of them attended the function. There are 170 Octogenarians from the said village all over Nagaland, informed a press release.
