A total of 87 fresh COVID-19 cases were reported from Nagaland on August 12 taking the State’s total tally to 3118.
“87 new +ve cases of COVID-19 have been detected out of 614 samples tested,” Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Minister S Pangnyu Phom updated on Twitter.
The new cases include 48 from Dimapur, 35 from Kohima, 3 from Zunheboto and 1 from Wokha.
“Necessary contact tracing have activated,” the Minister added. He further advised the public to “Wear Mask, Keep Distance, Stay Safe.”
Meanwhile with the new addition, the State’s COVID-19 Dashboard informed that the total tally as on August 12, 4 PM, has increased to 3118.
Out of the total, there were 2119 active cases and 985 recoveries, signifying a recovering rate of 31.59%.
The total number of deaths, meanwhile, decreased to 7. “* 1 death is Covid-19 positive but not due to Covid-19,” a disclaimer on the Dashboard informed, while 6 cases have “migrated.”
