8th batch of Nagaland students heads for ISRO trip

The 8th batch of students from Nagaland has departed for an exposure visit to Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in Bengaluru on December 27.

Zhokupa Hoshi, Assistant Programme Officer, Directorate of School Education, Kohima, flagged off the exposure trip on December 27 at Dimapur.

This exposure program is part of the North East Programme for Awareness, Reach & Knowledge on Space (NE-SPARKS) and an initiative of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Government of India, in collaboration with the Government of Nagaland.

Twelve students joined this trip. The students are from Queen Mary Higher Secondary School Mokokchung, Edith Douglas Higher Secondary School Mokokchung, Government High School Chuchuyimpang, Government High School Dilong, Government Higher Secondary School Mayangnokcha Mokokchung, Isaiah Ability Higher Secondary School Wokha, Limemo Memorial School  Wokha and Government Higher Secondary School Wokha.

The team is lead by teacher guide Wapangtula Pongener of GHSS Mayangnokcha, Mokokchung. The team will return Nagaland on December 31.
