8th Inter-Departmental Tournament of Peren dist commences  

Peren, November 24 (MExN): The 8th Inter-Departmental Tournament of Peren district began at Indoor Badminton Stadium, Jalukie Town on November 24 with Deputy Commissioner Peren, Vineet Kumar, IAS as the special guest.

Congratulating the organizing committee for organizing the tournament in such a grand manner despite time and resources constraints, the DC in his inaugural address said inter-departmental tournament is a very important occasion for all the government employees basically to interact, to know each other and also to find out the hidden talents of the government employees. 

He officially declared the tournament open the two-day long tournament in the presence of ADC Jalukie and wished the event a grand success. The inaugural programme was chaired by EAC Jalukie, Imtinungla Longkumer, while welcome address was delivered by Organizing Committee Member, Er Asembe Mbungcha and a special song was presented by Kenlumyile, stated a DIPR report.  The tournament will conclude on November 25.
