29 shooters qualify for 10th North East Zone Shooting Championship 2023
Dimapur, July 29 (MExN): The 8th Nagaland Shooting Championship 2023 was organised by Aries Rifle and Pistol Shooting Academy, Khelo India Centre, Dimapur and conducted by Nagaland Rifle Association at Aries Sports Complex Shooting Ranges, Bamunpukhuri-A, Dimapur from July 24 to 28.
An update from the Nagaland Rifle Association stated that altogether 64 shooters, 43 men and 21 women from Dimapur, Kohima, Mokokchung, Chümoukedima and Peren participated in 31 events. A total of 29 shooters have qualified to participate at the 10th North East Zone Shooting Championship 2023 to be held at Shillong, Meghalaya from August 20 to 27.
Dimapur district was adjudged the Champion with 14 Gold, 13 Silver and 8 Bronze followed by Kohima 8 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze, Mokokchung 7 Gold, 6 Silver and 4 Bronze, Chümoukedima 3 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze, Peren 1 Bronze.
