The 8th Nagaland Armed Police (NAP) B’Coy Fellowship celebrated its Silver Jubilee under the theme “Thus far the Lord has helped us” at the Zunheboto Multi-Purpose Hall on September 10.

Gracing the occasion as special guest was Tokavi Achumi, NPS, Commandant of the 8th Battalion, Naltoqa. In his address, Tokavi emphasized the importance of reflection and gratitude. “We must look forward to the next 25 years with hope, and be thankful for the past years so that we can grow and build a better future,” he said.

He urged all members to commit themselves to serving society positively, to support one another, provide guidance, and foster encouragement. “The Silver Jubilee is a significant milestone,” he added.

“On this special day, let us choose forgiveness—especially if anyone has been hurt during duties or meetings. This celebration is the result of collective effort, not individual achievement. We must now focus on expanding and strengthening our company.”

Vikaito L Yeptho, Editorial Convener and Reporting Officer of the 8th NAP Battalion, Naltoqa, presented a brief history of the B’Coy Fellowship. The Fellowship began on September 10, 2000, with Bohoto Sumi appointed as the first Company Chaplain. Initially based in Suruhuto, the Fellowship was relocated to Zunheboto on September 19, 2019, under the leadership of Chaplain Kughazhe Sumi.

Following the relocation, the Fellowship took a significant initiative by sponsoring missionary Shikani V. Muru at the United Revival Fellowship (URF) in Arunachal Pradesh from September 2019 to December 2020. Since 2021, the Fellowship has been sponsoring missionary Anand at Khatkhati, Assam. The B’Coy Church is currently located in Khuwoboto Colony, Zunheboto, with Kughazhe Kiba serving as the Chaplain.

The celebration began with a formal programme. Rev. Ikuto Jimo, Pastor of PBC Naltoqa, released the souvenir, delivered a message, and prayed for the Fellowship. The event was chaired by Chaplain Kughazhe Kiba, with Nisheto N. Chishi, Secretary of the Planning Board, delivering the invocation.

The welcome address was given by Z. Mughato Jimo, B’Coy Commander, followed by an offertory prayer led by Akamla (Women In-Charge), and a special number presented by the B’Coy Fellowship team. Scripture was read by Alovi S. Kiba (Deaconess). N. Kumugha Sema, Planning Board Convener, delivered the vote of thanks, and the celebration concluded with the benediction by Bokali (former Women In-Charge).
