Kohima, April 28 (MExN): A joint meeting of the Phek District Veteran Football Association (PDVFA) and organizing committee for the forthcoming 8th edition of Nagaland Veteran Football Association (NVFA) tournament was held today at Phek DPDB Conference Hall. The 8th edition of NVFA tournament will take place in Phek next year. PDVFA president Salie Khesoh said that 16 different committees have been formed to facilitate the success of the tournament. He sought the support and cooperation of each and every individual for the success of the tournament. PDVFA vice president Er. Abija Khing asked the different committees to project their respective committee requirements and submit the same before May 15. PDVFA team manager Yeveyi Sapu said the tournament has been fixed tentatively for January- February 2017. He told the meeting that a playground extension has been necessitated and it will be taken up soon. Meanwhile, as per approval of Phek DPDB, the PDVFA finance secretary Kuhucuyi D. Vadeo requested all the head of departments to take responsibility for the contribution of salary towards the PDVFA for the forthcoming 8th edition of NVFA tournament. The HoDs have also been requested to arrange the same w.e.f. June 1 to September 1, 2016.
