Phek, December 11 (MExN): 9 Assam Rifles recovered 190 kg of marijuana from a TATA Sumo bearing registration number NL 01T 7783 in Pfutsero on December 9 at 8:45 am. Based on specific input regarding movement of contraband items from Phek to Kohima in a TATA Sumo, a team of 9 Assam Rifles had established a special Mobile Vehicle Check Post near Forest Gate in Pfutsero from where the contraband was recovered. The apprehended person identified as Viketou (50) along with the seized articles were handed over to Police Station, Pfutsero on December 9 at 12:30 pm.
