98 new COVID-19 cases in Nagaland

Dimapur, October 28 (MExN): 98 new cases were added to Nagaland’s COVID-19 tally of 8824 with 71 reported in Dimapur, 13 in Kohima, 5 in Mon, 3 each in Tuensang and Mokokchung and 1 each in Kiphire, Wokha and Zunheboto on Wednesday.

Out of the 8,824 positive cases, 3,843 are armed forces/ police, 2,906 cases are traced contacts, 1,642 are returnees, and 433 are frontline workers as per the daily briefing on COVID-19 by the State Principal Secretary, Home.

Meanwhile, 114 recoveries were also reported on the same day, according to an update from State Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom. 

The COVID-19 bulletin issued by the State Health and Family Welfare department informed that as on October 28, the total number of active cases in the State was 1840 while the total recovery was 6869.

The number of deaths was 28 while 6 deaths have been listed as ‘not COVID related’ and 5 deaths are currently under investigation.
