9th Nagaland Canaan Farmers’ School training concludes

Dimapur, February 15 (MExN): The 9th Nagaland Canaan Farmers’ School training organized by the Ao Baptist Church Association (ABAM) was held from February 12 to 15 at the Land Resource Center, Razuphema, Dimapur. Altogether 28 trainees attended the training.


The resource persons were Rev Dr Mar Atsongchanger, Executive Secretary, ABAM; Dr Sashiyangba, Assistant Project Officer, Land Resource Government of Nagaland; Rev I Wati Jamir, Pastor Dimapur Ao Baptist Church; Rev O Lima Pastor, Luyong Baptist Church; and Acato, DPO, Land Resource, Government of Nagaland.


ABAM Executive Secretary, Rev Dr Mar Atsongchanger in a press release stated that it is a programme for mind-set transformation and pioneering spirit project and natural farming. The Canaan Farmers’ School concept was originated in South Korea during 1960s and the school was instrumental in transforming the life of people and in attaining economic growth in Korea. Today, it has become a world-wide movement and people from all walks of life are trying to avail this training. ABAM has been organizing this programme since 2015 and this is our 9th training.


Nagaland Canaan Farmers’ School is a member of World Canaan Movement, a recognized agency for sustainable development of public information, United Nations (UN-DPI) since 2016.


“As ABAM continues this programme in future, we believe that there will be great transformation in the life of our people as it did in Korea in 1960s and thus every individual will make life worth living,” ABAM Executive Secretary added.
