The North East India International Model United Nations (NEIMUN) will hold its 9th edition of NEIMUN Conference from October 18- 20 this year at Don Bosco Institute of Development and Learning in Dimapur under the theme “UNSCR 2250: Youth, Peace, and Security’.
NEIMUN Foundation is a youth-focused leadership development organisation based in North East India with a mission to cultivate a generation of value-driven leaders and equip them with the necessary skills, knowledge, mentorship, and opportunities to transform Northeast India.
NEIMUN 2024 is anchored in the principles of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace, and Security.
The conference aims to address critical issues affecting the region, including drugs, small arms trade, poverty and conflict arising from the climate crisis.
NEIMUN is passionate about empowering young leaders from Northeast India to engage with critical global issues, especially those related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and UNSCR 2250 on Youth, Peace, and Security.
This year’s conference will continue to focus on significant regional challenges like drug trafficking, the small arms trade, poverty, and the climate crisis.
The conference is open to all students currently studying in their higher secondary, under graduate, post graduate or any young professional from across Northeast India and beyond.
NEIMUN is designed to ignite that potential by providing a platform where young minds can engage with global issues and develop the skills necessary to solve local challenges.

The challenges in North East India are significant, but I believe so is the potential of its youth. At NEIMUN, we believe that youths are not just the leaders of tomorrow but the leaders of today,” stated Nikila Sogyal Bhutia, Secretary-General, North East India International Model United Nations 2024.
