Kohima, February 26 (MExN): The Assam Rifles today organised ‘A Day with Coy Cdr’ programme for the students of Government High School Kikruma, St Peter School Kikruma and Government Middle School Kezoma under the theme “Healthy body resides in a healthy mind.”
80 students from Government High School Kikruma, Government Middle School Kezoma and St Peter School, Kikruma attended the programme.
Various events were conducted for imparting and understanding the importance of healthy body and healthy mind in accordance to today’s scenario.
The programme was marked by activities like Yoga and meditation session, Push up and Pull up competition, Tug of war between troops and locals, Football dribbling and scoring ,volleyball match and demonstration on life saving skills.
The programme instilled a spirit of patriotism and motivated students in harnessing their energy towards positive mind and developing team spirit through sports activities.
The students as well as teachers appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles in conducting the programme and the programme paved the way for strengthening the bond and harmony between security forces and local people.
