Peren, May 19 (MExN): Alumni Association of All Saints Higher Secondary School Peren (AAASHSSP) general meeting cum get-together was held on May 10 at the school auditorium. Beheungausile and Pauninglungliu, school toppers in the HSLC and HSSCL exams under NBSE 2014 were felicitated with a scholarship of Rs. 5000/- and Certificate of Merit each, whereas Kupeusing Meru and Heisoliabe Hegeu who passed the coveted NPSC 2014 to the post of EAC and JDA were also felicitated with Certificate of Merit. The President of the Association Letgong Patrick welcomed the members present and chaired the program while Rev.Fr. Kurian PV MSFS, the manager of the school invoked God`s blessings, informed a press release.
Denis Ilunglung one of the advisors of the Association and President NPF Peren division in his brief exhortation, urged the house to work collectively to harness quality education. Namnahei Nza entertained the congregation with folk-fusion melody echoing for unity. After a careful discussion on the ensuing golden jubilee of the school, the house decided to celebrate it tentatively by the ending months of 2015. The day long program concluded with the approval of the draft Constitution of the Alumni Association, presented by the Vice President Heiramchube Liegise. Collectively 46 registered themselves and 88 alumni attended the program from across Peren district.
The Association with contribution from the members resolved and adopted to construct a Multi-Utility -Stadium within the school campus to mark fifty years of the school successful existence in the district, stated the note. The Association Secretary Azubo N Dominic thanked the congregation and Hiazuheing Ndang Pastor of Police Baptist Church said the benediction.
