Peren, December 9 (MExN): The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Nagaland unit headed by its State Mobilization In-charge and four other members visited Peren district as part of its statewide tour and held series of deliberations with AAP volunteers of the district. The AAP team will also be covering other parts of the State in the coming days.
During the one and half hour meeting with the youths in Peren, the State Mobilization In-charge Akavi N Zhimomi briefed the youths about the party and also highlighted the mission and objectives of the party, a press release informed.
Zhimomi stated that the party’s candidates, unlike in other parties, are selected by the party volunteers after thorough scrutiny. While extending support to the Clean Election Campaign initiated by the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC), Zhimomi also reminded the volunteers that AAP does not allow buying of votes and were directed not to indulge in such “antiparty activities”, the release claimed.
Meanwhile, the Party has informed that it has entrusted volunteers from AAP Peren district for the Youth Wing to be led by Haining Newme as President. Further, those wishing to join the party have been asked to e-mail at aapnagaland16@gmail.com.
