DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 5 (MExN): The Ato Area Students’ Union (AASU) has asked the Principal Director, Department of School Education to immediately withdraw the transfer of a primary teacher (SSA) who was recently transferred from Nito Government High School, Nikhekhu to GMS, Duncan.
In a representation to the Principal Director, DoSE, the AASU said that the Nito Government High School at Nikhekhu village, which is the only government high school for the entire Ato area, already has shortage of teaching staff. “Transferring teacher with post without a reliever in the middle of an academic year is detrimental and will have a negative impact on the career of the student community,” it stated.
The AASU resolved to “fight tooth and nail” against the transfer without a reliever in the interest of the student community. It meanwhile cautioned that in the event of failure to heed to the appeal, “the concerned department/authority will be held solely responsible in the event of any eventuality arising out of such transfer.”
