Mokokchung, September 9 (MExN): Ao Baptist Church Association (ABAM) organized the Nagaland Canaan Farmers' School (MCFS) at ABAM Canaan Farmers' School Centre, Tuli from September 4 to 8.
The resource persons were Rev Dr Mar Atsongchanger, Executive Secretary, ABAM; Kwan Soo Lee President Canaan Farmers' Training Center Philippines; Dr Sashiyangba Asst Project Officer, Land Resource Govt of Nagaland; and Rev Kim Hyun Chul, World Canaan Farmers' School, South Korea.
A release from Rev. Dr. Mar Atsongchanger, Executive Secretary, ABAM the programme was organized with a view to transform one’s mindset to realize the value of life and its decency which include dismissing the habit of dependency and inculcating the importance of holistic fitness thus propelling to work and live a decent life.
“The concept of the Canaan Farmers' School was originated in South Korea during 1960s and the school was instrumental in transforming the life of people and in attaining economic growth in Korea,” the release stated.
The release also mentioned that it has become a world-wide movement and the people from all walks of life are trying to avail this training where ABAM has been organizing the programme since 2015. Churches under ABAM, NBCC and Nagaland Development outreach participated in the programme.
