DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 24 (MExN): The Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM) today urged the Public Action Committee (PAC) to continue its fight against illegal collections and encouraged every district of Nagaland to start their drives against illegal activities.
A press release from the ABAM said it is pleased to see the public working together for the welfare and toward changing of society. “Nagaland has been going through an illicit and so called ‘below the belt’ situation in almost every corner. Illegal has been made legal in a state where ‘The love of God’ is preached almost every day,” it stated.
The ABAM noted that the tax paid by the companies or business agencies is being directly charge to the customers; “yet people had no option but to strive for livelihood and survival due to the rise of price exorbitantly in all commodities.”
It stated that the PAC’s drive against illegal collections has had an impact and expressed appreciation for “this giant step towards bringing change in our state.”
