ABAM Women Ministry conducts Dorka Cell training

Mokokchung, May 31 (MExN): The Vocational Training cum Production Centre (VTPC) under the ABAM Women Ministry organised a two-day Dorka Cell Training Programme for Zones 6 and 7 at Impur from May 28 to 29.

According to a press release issued by Rev. Temsu Jamir, Executive Secretary, ABAM, the training programme, which has been conducted consistently over the years, focused on practical skill development in tailoring and bakery, equipping young women with vocational knowledge to support both livelihood and ministry.

A total of 16 married women from eight churches attended the programme. The release stated that the initiative reflects the ABAM Women Ministry’s commitment to empowering women through vocational and production-based training.

The resource persons for the programme were Kilangkumla Longchar of House of K, Moalemla, Supervisor, VTPC, ABAM Women Ministry, and Roseline, Coordinator, ABAM Women Ministry. They provided participants with hands-on training and guidance aimed at building practical skills and confidence for application in everyday settings.

The ABAM Women Ministry expressed hope that the programme would have a positive impact on the participants, their families and churches, helping to promote self-reliance, strengthen fellowship and contribute to the holistic development of the Ao community.
