
Impur, October 13 (MExN): The 6th Triennial Conference of the Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM) Youth Ministry concluded on October 11 under the theme “Be Rooted,” inspired by Colossians 2:6 & 7. Held at Impur, the event brought together 1,742 young attendees from 171 churches and 13 fellowships, all led by the Associate Pastor of Youth.
The conference featured prominent speakers, including Rev. Dr. Prof. Mar Pongener, Executive Secretary of ABAM; Rev. Talijungla Longkümer, Associate Pastor Women, Ungma BA; and Toshi Sanglir, Secretary of ABAM YM.
One of the event's highlights was the "Bible Bee" competition, which attracted 53 teenagers who reflected on the theme by reciting over a hundred Bible verses. Chubanaro from Chuchuyimlang BA won first place, with Benjungsenla of Mangkolemba and Akumtula from Changtongya Town claiming the second and third positions, respectively.
In addition, the program included a panel discussion featuring Mr. Lanutemsü Yaden, Vice Principal of Mt. Carmel School, New Delhi, and Dr. Lanurenla, Principal of Sao Chang College, Tuensang. The panelists discussed topics like “Building a Narrative of Rootedness: Faith on the Periphery” and “The Aos Today and Tomorrow.”
The conference also brought together ten individuals from diverse fields who shared their journeys in a session led by Dr. Limasenla Jamir, Associate Professor at Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung. These speakers included Temsü Clover, Imkongnükla, Imkongangba, Chubalemla Kichu, Dr. Akümtoshi, Temjen Jamir, Ar. Along, Imkongchuba, Imolangba, and Akala Ayim.
