ABCC youth convention draws to a close

Kohima | January 23 : Youth Director ABCC, Vicavor Krose said God’s calling is different from what we normally get invitation in our day to day life, however the call is same for all, be it politician, leaders or any common man. Krose said this during the closing function of the three days youth convention held under the theme “Come, follow me”, organized by Angami Baptist Church Council (ABCC) youth department that culminated this afternoon here at Indira Gandhi Stadium.
Delivering a message on the topic “Jesus the Answer” Krose said God knows the requirements of human and said “The only thing we have to give is, ourselves to God”, said Krose adding that committing to God gain “Us” all. “If you call on him, your life will be beautiful, ‘Jesus is the answer’, we all should live in his way and he asked us for it, he will give us the joy and peaceful life”, echoed Krose. He also said that ultimately ‘We’ becomes God’s enemy if his people do not live according to his will and it is worse to live life without Jesus, adding that it is regretful to live die without accepting Jesus. Krose called upon the congregation to have the spirit of forgiveness in life in order to attain peaceful life.
Former president, ABCC, (1995-1998), Roukuolhoulie Kire, also delivered brief message on “Your generation, your responsibility.” Thirteen new members of ABCC, headed by Petevi Meyase as president, were installed where dedication was performed by Evangelist, Khedi Baptist church, Rev. Viwelie Khezhie. The closing ceremony was marked by songs, bible reading by Neisevonuo while Rev. Kiezotuo Zhale pronounced invocation.
The next convention is scheduled to be held in the year 2016, though the place is not disclosed, the newly inducted president, in an interaction with the media said it might be held in Northern or western Angami area. He also said follow up programmes will be held from time to time.
