Wokha, June 5 (MExN): The first official tour of ‘About Us,’ organised by Acoustic Club Wokha, was held at Tiyi Hall in Wokha on June 3.
Formed in the year 2019, ‘About Us’ is an ‘Experimental Melodic Hard Rock’ band from Nagaland.
Hachio Patton, Senior PS to Deputy Chief Minister was the chief patron and Additional Commissioner Lankonsen T Tsanglao was the chief host. The band was also felicitated prior to the concert at Town hall in Wokha, a DIPR report informed on Sunday.
During the concert, After 20’s, an all girls rock band from Wokha also performed their debut concert and Gideon Kithan, a seven-year-old guitarist performed as supporting act during the concert.
Around 2000 fans came to witness the first ever live appearance in Wokha.
Band manager K Edward Ngullie informed that the band will be heading to Mokokchung on June 21 to perform at the World Music Day and at Dimapur on June 25. Ngullie also said that the band which recently signed a contract with the Italian based Frontier Records Srl are preparing acoustic versions of their originals for their Japan tour, and also working on new projects for fans.
