Abu Metha calls on Mizoram CM

Kohima, October 23 (MExN): Advisor to Nagaland Chief Minister, Abu Metha, who is on an official visit to Mizoram on the invitation of the Mizoram Youth Commission, called on the Mizoram Chief Minister, Zoramthanga on October 23.

Metha, who is also the Associate Vice President of the Athletic Federation of India, apprised the Mizoram Chief Minister of the forthcoming South Asian Cross Country Championships to be held in Nagaland. He also invited participation from Mizoram in the forthcoming events like the Hornbill Festival, the Asia Music Summit and the Grand Finale of the Indian National Rally Championships, which are all being held in Nagaland in the coming months, a DIPR report informed.

Matters related to development of sports in the Northeastern region and joint youth collaborative programmes were also discussed. Metha appreciated the CM for his support and the positive inputs in the matters that were raised.

Metha started his visit by paying homage at the Laldenga Memorial in Aizawl. He paid tribute to the first Chief Minister of Mizoram and the leader of the Mizo Movement upon his arrival at Aizawl, the DIPR report added.
