ACAUT Nagaland against donation drives in market

DIMAPUR, MARCH 31 (MExN): Against Corruption and Unabated Taxation (ACAUT) Nagaland has voiced out against “donation drives in the market,” that “cause undue harassment to the business community.” It termed such drives by any organization, student body, tribal organization or NGOs as “unacceptable and condemnable.”

A press note from ACAUT Nagaland stated this after taking into consideration views intimated by the Konyak Students’ Union at a meeting with civil society leaders on March 24. Stating that Dimapur is especially a witness to “such unsavory activities,” ACAUT Nagaland stated that it would be ever vigilant on this count. “Also, the present trend of organizations, including civil society bodies asking for commission from contractors undertaking contract works in their respective areas is uncalled for and the public is called upon to bring such incidences to the notice of ACAUT Nagaland whenever possible,” it stated. ACAUT Nagaland informed that the Convener for its Public Grievances Cell can be contacted at 8974761098.
