ACAUT says present govt should step down

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 1 (MExN): The ACAUT Nagaland today condemned the manner in which the Nagaland State Government has handled the ULB issue, which it stated “can only be summed up as anti-Naga.” “The ACAUT Nagaland condemns such anti-Naga activities, by going against the voice of the Nagas and further risk jeopardizing the sanctity of Article 371(A),” it stated in a press note. The ACAUT further extended condolences to the bereaved families of the two victims and also prayed for the speedy and complete recovery of those who have been injured. It added that the government has lost all credibility and should step down both on moral grounds and for the complete breakdown of constitutional machinery in the state.
