DIMAPUR, JANUARY 31 (MExN): The ACAUT Nagaland today affirmed to stand by the principle of Clean Election campaign of the NBCC and stated that it has not endorsed any particular individual or candidates in the ULB elections. A press note from the ACAUT Nagaland Media Cell stated that “malpractice during election is the root cause of all corruption in the state.” The ACAUT is witness to rampant usage of money and muscle power during the canvassing period -for the ULB elections- and therefore, the rumours being spread that the ACAUT Nagaland is actively participating in the elections is totally erroneous and false, it clarified. “While it’s the prerogative of any individual to contest elections, the ACAUT Nagaland has not endorsed any candidate thus far,” it added.
