Zunheboto, April 12 (DIPR): Additional Chief Secretary & Commissioner Nagaland, Banuo Z. Jamir visited Satoi Village, Zunheboto district where she had a meeting with the GBs and DBs at the Satoi Village cultural hall on April 11. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, T. Kiheto.
At the outset, the Additional Chief Secretary & Commissioner Nagaland, expressed her happiness over the successful conduct of the census 2011 operation where the State census report 2011 has shown decrease of population from the population of census 2001. Lauding the Zunheboto district for giving the accurate report in the recently concluded census operation, she encouraged the gathering to maintain the honesty in giving accurate report of population in future. She also briefed on the importance and benefits of the negative growth rate of population. Banuo also spoke on the welfare of womenfolk and on 25 percent share for women. The meeting was followed by an interaction with the HODs of Zunheboto district where the departments of Medical, Education, Power, RD, Veterinary and Soil laid their grievances, which she noted. The Satoi GB’s Association presented her a Mithun during her visit.
The meeting started with an invocation prayer pronounced by Pastor, Satoi Town Baptist church. Other highlights of the Programme included submission of representation by Kughai, President GB’s Association, Satoi Area, welcome song presented by Satoi town women folk and vote of thanks proposed by Kasheho Head GB, Satoi village.
