
Wokha, May 14 (MExN): The All Commercial Vehicles Association (ACVA) Wokha District has informed that there will be no exit point for all Wokha bound Commercial Vehicles on May 17 and in this regard, has directed all concerned to stay off the road from morning till 3:00 pm.
A decision to this effect was taken by the ACVA Wokha comprising of Truck Owners’ Union, Bus Union, Mini Truck Union, Tata Mobile Union, ANTA Wokha Unit/ Local taxi and the Wokha District Auto Union (WDAU) during a consultative meeting on May 14 at its Office Chamber with regard to the forthcoming 3rd Foundation Day on May 17.
In this regard, all the Wokha bound Commercial Vehicles have been requested to reach the venue i.e., Wokha Town Public Ground by 8:30 am. The association also asked delegates from Dimapur, Kohima and all the surrounding villages and circles plying under Wokha district to be stationed at Wokha town before May 16.
Elections for new office bearers will also be held, the release informed and directed every sub-union to send two representatives each to ACVA. “Anyone violating the meeting resolution will be doing so at their own risk and stern action will be initiated to the defaulters,” a press release from the association warned.
