ADC bans sale of pork in Tening

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 28 (MExN): The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Tening, T Lemlila Sangtam has drawn attention to the presence of Swine Flu in Tening town. Despite this, an order from the ADC observed that citizens continue to slaughter, buy, and sell pork meat within and around Tening town, posing a significant health risk to consumers. To address this issue, the ADC issued a directive instructing both butchers and citizens to immediately cease butchering, purchasing, and selling of pork meat in the vicinity of Tening town. “Failure to comply with this order will result in an on-the-spot penalty of Rs 10,000, along with the potential cancellation of trade licenses. This directive will be effective from August 28 until further notice,” the order stated.
