Medziphema, February 13 (MExN): The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Medziphema, P James Swu has called for enhanced cooperation among departments to foster holistic development within the sub-division.
While chairing a coordination meeting of Heads of Departments (HoDs) from across Medziphema sub-division on February 13, he also appealed to all departments for seamless cooperation in preparation for the upcoming elections.
Swu expressed gratitude to the departments for their active involvement in the Republic Day Celebration.
According to the State DIPR, the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), through its SDO Seyievizo, presented an overview of its ongoing activities, including sanitation and water supply initiatives under the Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin (SBMG).
The SDO also shared challenges encountered during scheme implementation and proposed solutions to mitigate them.
The Central Institute of Horticulture (CIH), in its presentation, elucidated its objectives, departmental activities, and endeavors aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and expertise among the populace.
The discussion encompassed nursery establishment, farmer skill development, post-harvest management programs, and the monitoring of centrally sponsored schemes, the DIPR said.
The meeting deliberated on the acquisition of government-provided schemes and emphasised the necessity for PHED to ensure comprehensive water systems for schools and hospitals, it added. In the subsequent coordination meeting, the Department of Social Welfare and ICAR Mithun are scheduled to present their reports.
