Additional directives on lockdown in Kohima

• Permitted category of shops to open four days a week 
• Total ban on movement from 2:00 pm to 5:00 am on June 19-30
• Existing Odd-Even system to be enforced 

Kohima, June 17 (MExN): Kohima deputy commissioner Gregory Thejawelie today stated that the existing lockdown measures shall continue to remain in force in Kohima district till June 30 with some additional directives.

The permitted category of shops shall open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm.

“It is reiterated that the proprietor of permitted category of business establishment, private establishments will be held responsible for ensuring strict compliance to COVID-19 SOPs within their respective establishments,” an order received here stated today.

The order also stated that there shall be a “total ban” on the movement of individuals/vehicles from 2:00 pm to 5:00 am everyday from June 19 to 30 across the district except for reasons/purposes and for those who are permitted to move as per the existing lockdown measures.

The DC Kohima in another order informed that movement of private vehicles shall be allowed as per the existing odd-even system within the jurisdiction of Kohima Municipal Council, except on Sundays. This order shall remain enforced till June 30 for strict compliance of all concerned, the DC Kohima stated.
