Dimapur, November 2 (MExN): The office of the Assistant Director, Food & Civil Supplies, Dimapur today directed all the Fair Price Shops (FPS) to adhere to prescribed norms of the National Food Security Act 2013.
It is observed that many village councils' FPS are not adhering to the prescribed norms of the NSA Act but perform their duty as per the council’s decision such as fixing of rate and scale of issue etc, stated a circular from S Kavito Aomi, Assistant Director, FCS Dimapur.
Henceforth, any village councils’ FPS found not adhering to the guidelines of NFSA 2013 will be terminated and capable individual or person will be appointed to look after the shop, it added.
