Administration team inspects Petrol Pumps in Longleng

Longleng, November 16 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner Longleng John Tsulise Sangtam along with SDO Civil D Robin, Additional Superintendent of Police Atopu Sumi, ADS (Supply) Ekoni Humtsoe and DPRO S Hongpi Konyak inspected Leinyak Petro Pump, Longleng on November 16.  

The team inspected Fuel adulteration, availability of filter paper and density reference record, metering unit and totaling unit seals, maintenance of testing kit (calibrated hydrometers/thermometers and ASTM density conservators table) and records, a DIPR report stated.  

Other facilities for consumers such as clean bathrooms, toilets, clean and safe drinking water, free air filling, first aid kits, fire extinguisher, CCTV, display of opening stock of the day and retail selling prices were subsequently inspected.  

After inspection and testing, the DC directed the petro pump manager not to conceal any amenities provided to the consumers but display all facilities provided outside the building including consumer’s rights and prices of items so that consumers can avail the facilities provided by the oil company. Emphasizing on safe drinking water, sanitation and cleanliness of the toilet & bathrooms, he said a notice will be served from his office for monthly surprise inspections by the district level task force committee constituted for the purpose and for proper maintenance of facilities provided.  

The team also collected samples of petrol and diesel to be sent to laboratory to ensure cent percent adulteration free fuel in the district. The inspection was done as directed by the Government to check irregularities and practices of retail outlets.
