
Our Correspondent Kohima | May 20 Adroit Boys, Zubza lifted the champion’s trophy of the 1st Open Futsal Tournament which concluded here today at the Kohima Local Ground. The tournament was held under the aegis of Naga FC. Adroit Boys edged Soccer Heroes FC 1-0 to lift the winning trophy and pocketed cash prize of Rs. 30,000 along with trophy and certificate. The winning goal for Adroit Boys came through Zeanikho Miasalhou. Runners-up Soccer Heroes FC were awarded cash prize of Rs. 15,000. Semifinalists Legend Lads and A Yhome FC pocketed cash prize of Rs. 5000 each. Shiirhosiil Zhotso of Adroit Boys, Neikethozo Yhome of Soccer Heroes, Rajusito Nagi of Adroit Boys and Keyidwasapiung Kulimbe of Legend Lads FC were declared as man of the match, player of the tournament, best goalkeeper and highest goal scorer respectively. Ropfii Meyase, state football coach acted as match patron and gave away the prizes to the winners. Earlier, the valedictory function was chaired by senior journalist Xavier Rutsa while Naga FC president Kezevituo Vizo proposed vote of thanks. Altogether, 45 teams joined the tournament.
