‘Advertise vacant Math teacher posts under RMSA’

DIMAPUR, MARCH 18 (MExN): The Central Nagaland Students’ Association (CNSA) today demanded that the 70 vacant posts for Maths teachers under the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) be re-advertised at the earliest. In a letter to the RMSA Mission Director, the CNSA reminded that as per a notification dated December 17, 2015, “against 112 posts of graduate Teachers for Maths, only 42 candidates could be selected,” and the State Mission Authority had proposed to re-advertise the remaining posts. The CNSA lamented that many government schools in Nagaland are facing shortage of teachers, especially Math and Science teachers and that it has been almost three years since any proper recruitment was undertaken due to “procedural flaws.”
