
Kohima, August 30 (MExN): Advisor, Soil & Water Conservation and Information & Public Relations, Imkong L Imchen along with the officials of the Soil & Water Conservation Department called on the Union Minister for Agriculture, Narendra Singh Tomar at his office Krishi Bhawan New Delhi on August 29.
As per the DIPR report, Imkong apprised the Union Minister on the various department activities in State. He also appealed to the Minister to consider the proposal submitted in the Ministry for the interest of the State of Nagaland. The Department official also highlighted the ongoing Central Schemes being implemented in the State and the new project/proposal for the current financial year. The Union Minister assured of his support to the State.
The Advisor along with the officials of the Soil & Water Conservation Department also had a meeting with Secretary, Jal Shakti Government of India, Pankaj Kumar, IAS at Jal Shakti Bhawan, New Delhi. The Advisor discussed some issues relating to new proposal submitted in the ministry, and requested the Secretary to look into the departmental proposals in the ministry. The Department officials also highlighted the ongoing projects work in the State.
In the meeting the officials present were AS Goel, Commissioner (SPR) and Atul Jain, Commissioner (FM) from Ministry and Soil & Water Conservation Department, Director, Additional Director and Project Director.
