Dimapur, April 12 (MExN): MLA and Advisor, Transport & Technical Education, Temjenmenba paid maiden visit to the office of the General Manager, Nagaland State Transport, Dimapur on April 10.

During the visit, the Advisor held in-depth interactions with the officers and staff for all round development and upliftment of the Department. He enquired about various areas that needed improvement and encouraged the officers and staff to strive more vigorously for overall improvement of the activities of the Department, stated a press release. 

The Advisor urged to assist and support him to deliver best services to the public as he is committed to reactivate all activities of the Department, to bring quality output as well as to generate enhanced revenue for the Government.

Shikaho P Yeptho, General Manager, NST Dimapur highlighted the various challenges and grievances being faced by the Department such as unable to induct required numbers of new buses in its fleet. “The Department, at present, is somehow maintaining skeleton services with overaged vehicles which are mostly 15 years above,” he stated. Yeptho also expressed that the Department is looking forward to render more efficient and reliable transport services to the people of the state with the guidance of the Advisor.
