Dimapur, October 5 (MExN): Advisor, Power, Government of Nagaland, H Tovihoto Ayemi has extended warm greetings and best wishes to the Hindu community of Dimapur on the occasion of Durga Puja.
Ayemi in his message prayed for empowerment to fight all evil forces and to allow true sense of communal harmony to prevail in the society. Durga Puja being a celebration of the mother goddess and the power of women, Ayemi urged all to recognize the contributions made by women within one’s own family and the society and accord them due recognition. “A just society is complete only when the status of women is given its rightful place.”
He also encouraged all to deeply inculcate that being environment-friendly for any mega festive occasion should not be taken as an option but a duty given the rise in environmental hazards owing to our way of life.
The Puja is also an occasion to come together with joy and happiness, Ayemi stated while adding “lots of prosperity, happiness, wealth and good fortune.”
