Advisor for Prisons, Printing and Stationary, Er Kropol Vitsu today inaugurated a stone sit-out or stone look-out place, Elozwü Sakri Tsükhwe at Kezoma Village under Kohima district.
The Advisor said the new structure was a pilot project which was constructed under LADP Iconic Project 2023-24 under the Nagaland Government.
In this regard, he expressed happiness that the project has been successfully completed with the construction and funding being smooth and swift and therefore asked villagers to take ownership of the new facility.
Advisor Vitsu also asked the people to ponder on why there are impediments of development in the region and said that it is because of our people.
In this regard, he called to retain trust on their elected representatives.
To bring development and equal opportunities for the village, the Advisor encouraged the villagers to break barriers which prevail as impediments due to party politics. Dwelling on politics, he also opined that despite the public voting for their own choice of candidates during elections, he said that even if after any party wins, people ultimately come back together.
Vitsu, however, noted that one thing the people need to comprehend is that if state politics is not strengthened by its people through its elected representatives and have strong relationship at its centre, major development or funds are impaired here.
Vitsu took a dig on the people opposing the BJP Government and said that opposition is bound to occur at any point.
The Advisor called the people not to be deceived by propaganda and rumour against government and affirmed that the government at the centre and state is strong and united. The Advisor also asked people to be grateful to the central government for having deep concern for the state.
Chairman of Kezoma Village Council, Kikrosa Naki, while extending greetings acknowledged the MLA for augmenting the iconic project under LADP and opined that development is equally beneficial for all.
He said that in the past when we did not have modern equipments like microphones, villagers used Tsükhwe for multi-purpose in the likes of making important announcement or convergence for it uniquely placed in higher point of the village and it being dozens of feet high.
The chairman hoped that the new structure will be of good provision for the village and called the villagers to patronize and take care of the Tsükhwe.
Apart from that, Naki said it will be an aesthetical heritage for the village and meanwhile thanked other village leaders for rendering service during the construction. Under LADP project, other amenities in the village were also inaugurated.
