Advisor Zale proposes for developing sports infrastructure in border areas

Kohima, August 24 (MExN): Advisor for Youth Resources & Sports, Zale Neikha today called on the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju at his official residence in New Delhi.  

MLA Neikha while apprising the Union MoS on the plight of the people living in the border areas, proposed the set up of sports and youth related infrastructure and programmes in the border areas, a release here stated. He added that such development will also motivate youths to take up employment opportunities thereby improving their economic condition and contribute in the process of nation building.  

Meanwhile, the Union MoS Rijiju assured the advisor to take up the above proposals through Border Area Development Programme (BADP) while also affirming full support of any project proposals of the North East, the release added.  

Further, Rijiju also stressed on the need for educating and conducting training programmes for MLAs so as to be up-to-date with the latest policies and programmes of the country.`
