Advocacy on HIV and AIDS for Bible colleges

Kohima, October 15 (MExN): Advocacy on HIV and AIDS for Bible colleges organised by Core Committee and sponsored by Legislators forum on AIDS Nagaland was held at Christ for the Nation Bible College, Kohima on October 15. The day long programme was attended by various Bible colleges across the state.  

A press release stated that the resource persons included Rev. Dr. Shiwoto Assumi, chairman core-committee, Dr. Vinito L. Chishi, state consultant LFA Nagaland, Dr. Rose Chakhesang, public health consultant, World Bank and Hukatoli.  

Rev. Dr. Shiwoto Assumi, chairman core-committee said the advocacy program was mainly focus on to keep updating the HIV & AIDS to the young generation evangelist and other Churches leaders to disseminate the ground reality of the epidemic to the peoples. He also said the church is not only to teach the gospel but have the social responsibility for the cause of the general public. Therefore with the formation of Legislators Forum on AIDS, the church is working hard to do the best for the cause.  Invocation was pronounced by Pete Z. Krose, vice principal, KBC while the vote of thanks was said by Rev. Dr. D. L. Sanchu, executive secretary Angami CRC and the end with benediction prayer by Asola, Faith Theological Seminary.
