Dimapur, March 18 (MExN): In continuation of the effort taken by the church to capacitate and build awareness among its members, Nagaland Development Outreach (NDO), the development wing of Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) in collaboration with Legislators’ Forum on AIDS (LFA) conducted Advocacy Program with Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland (AGBCN) at its mission centre, Singrijan, Dimapur.
A press release from NDO informed that the resource persons were Dr. Molusen Jamir (ART Doctor, Civil Hospital, Dimapur) and Takatoba (Director SoLAF). The topics that were covered during this program included: Basics on HIV & AIDS and its treatment- medical perspective; Overcoming Stigma and Discrimination; and Care and Support for PLHIV.
All together 95 participants representing youth leaders, women leaders, church elders and other church members attended the program.
