DIMAPUR, MAY 1 (MExN): After Meeting the Nagaland State Chief Minister of Nagaland, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu on April 29, the public of Tobu area representing all the villages under Tobu Sub-division met CL John, Minister RD & REPA and held a meeting at his residence in Dimapur.
In the meeting, the public leaders apprised the Minister of problems and inconveniences faced by the Tobu - Moka public under the present administrative set up, informed a press note from the Tobu District Demand Committee (TDDC). It stated that the Minister acknowledged the everyday difficulties faced by people of Tobu-Moka and said that the priority in infrastructural development was long felt for Tobu Sub-division.
Regarding the demand of Tobu district, he believed that the present DAN Government led by Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu will take up the issue seriously and that he would be “in favour of any decision taken by the wisdom and leadership of Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu.”
Meanwhile, the public leaders also conveyed to the Minister that in order to ensure the stability and continuity of the present DAN Government led by the NPF party, the public of 55 A/C Tobu along with Naiba Konyak, sitting MLA from the constituency, “have decided to vacate the 55th Legislative Assembly Seat to allow Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu to join the 12th Nagaland Legislative Assembly unopposed from 55 A/C Tobu.”
The Tobu public requested the DAN Government to consider the offer seriously in order to allow the smooth functioning of the Government without any hiccups. “The offer shall be in the interest of the present DAN Government and the people of Nagaland in general,” the committee stated.
